Advanced Political Psychology Seminar
Course Objectives and Syllabus
The objectives for the course are as follows:
- Identify major topics of study in contemporary political psychology
- Explain and contrast economic, sociological, and psychological perspectives on political behavior
- Appraise and apply political and social psychological theories to understand political cognition and behavior
- Apply theories to an original research problem

Students will be evaluated via a home essay that states an original research question, introduces theory to address that question, and designs an appropriate empirical test to assess theorized expectations.
